Project Overview
The project involved trenching across the carpark alongside the kerb to install electrical conduit for a new light pole. Given the primarily silt - based excavatio n material and wet site conditions, extra care was taken to prevent damage to surrounding infrastructure.
Key Tasks & Execution:
Trenching & Excavation: Dug a trench across the carpark, ensuring precise alignment along the kerb.
Spoil Removal: All excavate d material was removed from the site to maintain cleanliness.
Site Protection: Took care to prevent kerb damage and managed work in wet conditions.
Substrate Preparation: Imported and compacted AP65 using a trench compactor to create a hard, stable base su itable for asphalt resurfacing.
Coordination with Electricians: Worked closely with McNae Electrical ’ s team to install the conduit and cable.
Site Maintenance & Final Preparation: Kept the site tidy throughout and left it in a finished state, ready for asp halt resurfacing.
Outcome
The installation was successfully completed with minimal disruption, ensuring a strong
and stable base for the resurfacing phase. The project was executed efficiently while
maintaining a clean and safe worksite.
